Amulet Necklace. [Yemen, late 19th century / early 20th century].
Silver, filigree, granulation; silver beads; cotton strings.
Five oblong and trapeze-shaped plaques, decorated with filigree and granulation; the plaques are joined by cotton strings threaded with silver beads. Three of the plaques are hung with amulet containers.
Maximum length: approx. 15 cm. Width (without string ends): approx. 34.5 cm. Some defects.
