Plate - Adam and Eve - "Bezalel"

Plate for hanging, created at "Bezalel". Jerusalem, [between 1912 and 1929].
Etched brass; copper. Marked in Hebrew: "Bezalel Yerushalem" (on outer ring).
In the center of the plate are verses based on the story of Adam and Eve: "Then the Lord formed man of dust from the ground / It is not good that the man should be alone / And the man and his wife were both naked / she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband / And He drove out Adam and Eve" (Genesis, chapters 2-3). On the outer ring of the plate are five scenes illustrating the verses. Suspension loop.
Diameter: 22.5 cm. Good condition. Slight defects.
