Two Pairs of Torah Finials - Kurdistan-Jerusalem

1. Pair of Torah finials. [Iraqi Kurdistan (Sulaymaniyah)-Jerusalem, early 20th century].
Silver repouseé, engraved and punched.
Pear-shaped finials, on a cylindrical stem with a punched ball. Body of finials and upper part are repouseé and engraved with vegetal and geometric patterns. Topped with a Star of David with the word "Zion" in the center. Eight chains ending with a shell-shaped ornament. A dedication is engraved on the handles of the finials: "These finials are dedicated by Eliyahu ben Shalom Nissan…from Sulaymaniyah…" (Hebrew). Height: 28.5 cm. Good condition. Missing six shells, damages to shells.
2. Pair of finials. Kurdistan-Jerusalem, 1930s, dedication from 1931.
Silver repouseé, engraved and punched.
Pear-shaped finials, on a cylindrical stem with a ball, repouseé with vegetal ornamentations. Body of finials and upper part are repouseé and engraved with vegetal and geometric motifs. Topped with a Star of David with the word "Zion". Six chains ending with shell-shaped decorations. A dedication is engraved on each handle (some differences): "…synagogue… Kurds… Sa'ada bat Aharon Katz and Farha bat Elazar Mizrahi.. 5691" (Hebrew). Height: 28.5 cm. Good condition. Missing two chains and shells, some damages to shells.
