Two embroidered Challah covers. [Europe, early 20th century]. 1. Elaborate embroidery and Burgundy colored velvet, with cotton and golden threads: pair of lions, between them characters of the Ten Commandments and above “Baruch ata…Hamotzi…”. Approx. 48X48 cm. Fair condition. Unraveled threads and damages. 2. Embroidery with yellow cotton threads: “Zechor et Yom HaShabbat Lekodsho”. Star of David, two stars and vegetal decorations. 45X55 cm. Fair-poor condition. Tears and unraveled threads.
