Torah Ark Curtain – Italy
Parochet (Torah ark curtain). [Italy, late 19th or early 20th century]. Parochet made of high-quality fabric, with lengthwise stripes in burgundy and beige colors, and a shining vegetal pattern. On the sides - a ribbon with tied fringes. Cloth loops with iron rings are connected to the upper part. Made of two sheets. 136X235 cm. Good condition, three rings are missing, two stains on lower right part. Fabric worn on lower left side. Missing fringes.
