Ivory Torah Pointer – Europe
Ivory Torah pointer. Europe, [late 19th or early 20th cent.].
The handle's upper part is flat and carved in a stylized vegetal decoration. A spiral decoration in the center, and a clenched palm with a pointing figure. The pointer is pierced in two places for the chain - one hole in the upper tip and one hole above the palm on the lower end.
Length: 30.5 cm. Good condition, minor damages to ivory, chain is missing.
