A Fish-Shaped Spice Container - Silver

A fish-shaped spice container. [Central Europe, apparently Germany, late 19th - early 20th century].
Engraved silver (stamped: "12").
The head of the fish and its mouth are connected with hinges so that two openings can be used for storing spices: one between the fish's head and its body and one inside its mouth.
Length: 9.5 cm. width: 3 cm.
