Tétouan, northern Morocco, 6th Elul 5668 [September 2, 1908].
Ink and paint on parchment.
Written on a blanched rectangular sheet of paper, with colorful illustrations and golden decorations. Ketubah text in center, in Sephardic semi-cursive script, with a few words in square script, in accordance with the Moroccan Sephardic community's customs, as stated in the text. Signatures of groom and witnesses on edge.
The ketubah is decorated with a pair of large jugs with flowering branches protruding from them, a central arch decorated with fringed curtains, and three golden crowns, two of which contain hands delivering the priestly blessing.
40X55 cm. Good condition. Some stains. Some creases and rolling marks, slightly affecting illustrations. Minute punctures to edge.
