Bracelet produced by Ilya Schor (1904-1961). New York, United States, [ca. 1946].
Silver, sawed and pierced; gold; turquoise. Marked: "I. Schor NY".
The bracelet is composed of three large ornamental units depicting a man and woman (apparently a bride and a groom) in various positions, surrounded by decorations of animals and flowers. Four smaller ornaments – each set with three turquoise stones – separate the larger units, and are linked to them with small silver rings. The reverse side of the bracelet is adorned with engraved and pierced decorations in (abstract) geometric style, characteristic of Schor's work. Initials engraved on last unit, which serves as a fastener: "D. R. J. 1926-1946".
