Small Torah Pointer – Vienna, 1753

Torah pointer. Vienna, 1753.
Silver, cast and engraved (both the pointer and its decorative chain-ring are marked with Viennese fineness marks, dated 1753).
Small Torah pointer with a ring-shaped upper segment, to which a decorative chain-ring bearing an engraved, flower-shaped ornament is attached by means of a smaller ring. The slender central segment is square in cross-section, broadening downward toward the flower-shaped cuff. At the tip is the "hand" in the form of a clenched fist, with the long index (pointer) finger extended.

Length: 22.5 cm. Maximal width: 2.2 cm. Good condition.
