German edition and a German-French (smaller format) edition of the album Bilder aus dem Heiligen Lande, depicting biblical landscapes and sites in Palestine and its surroundings, after drawings by German painter Johann Martin Bernatz (1802-1878). Accompanied by text by German scholar Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert (1780-1860).
Each edition comprises some forty lithographic plates, depicting the cities of Jerusalem, Hebron, Tiberias, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Joseph's Tomb in Shechem, Mount Carmel, Mount Tabor, Damascus, and others; also including a large panorama of Sinai (folding plate, numbered 6-8 / 9-10 in the plate list).

German edition: [43] pages + [39] plates. Approx. 24X38 cm. German-French edition: [44] pages + [38] plates. Approx. 17.5X27.5 cm. Condition varies. Stains, creases and wear. Contemporary half-leather bindings, somewhat worn. German edition with tears and defects to text leaves and plates; folding panorama torn and detached.
