Forty-nine large lithographic plates, presenting the archaeological finds of the second expedition of the Palestine Exploration Fund, headed by Charles Warren.
Including drawings of excavations near the walls of the Temple Mount (among them drawings of the Western Wall), Robinson's Arch and Wilson's Arch, gates and passages uncovered near the Ophel wall, the water system in the City of David (the so-called Warren's Shaft), dozens of jars, vessels and fragments found in the excavations, topographical surveys of the surface of Jerusalem, and more.
The drawings are signed in the plate by Charles Warren, head of the expedition, and are accompanied by a title page listing the seven co-authors and the contents.

L leaves (title leaf and 49 plates with drawings). 70X50 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, including light dampstains. Pencil inscriptions (handwritten numbering). Small tears and blemishes (mostly marginal).
