Two pairs of Torah finials. [Yemen, late 19th / early 20th century].
Silver, repoussé (unmarked); filigree and granulation.
Two pairs of tall, slender finials of typical Yemenite design, with alternating spherical and conical ornaments. Decorated in classic Yemenite silversmithing techniques: various styles of soldered filigree, minute silver granules (granulation), and tiny lozenge-shaped decorations. Chains with dangling bells or pendants affixed to each finial.
Height: 25.5 cm; 27.5 cm. Max. width: 4.5 cm; 5 cm. Overall good condition. One pair with minor blemishes; the other pair missing chains and bells, missing upper finial element, bends and old soldering repairs.
