"Public-Private Letter" from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – 1961

Letter from Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Brooklyn, New York, 22 Tevet, 1961.

Typewritten on the Rebbe's official stationery, with his signature. "Public-private letter" (an identical letter sent to several individuals).

Sent to R. Chaim Shalom HaLevi Segal of Jerusalem. In his letter, the Rebbe offers the blessing (based on a teaching of the Alter Rebbe) "to turn Tzarah (distress) into a Tzohar (window) by the light of the Torah and commandments".

The Rebbe concludes with a blessing for good tidings.
