Polemic book against Chasidim and Haskalah (Enlightenment) representatives. The second part of the book, “Goral Sofrei Israel”, criticizes the Enlightenment authors.
54 pages, 22.5 cm. Good condition. Stained and slightly torn binding.
2. Pachadu Be-Tzion Chataim, Ephraim Deinard. New-York, [1917].
A collection of essays which include the author’s impressions from his visit in Eretz Israel and attempts to unveil scandals and corruptions there.
[2], 128 pages, 22 cm. Fair condition. Foxing, few loose leaves, the original cover glued on the binding, worn.
Ephraim Deinard (1846-1930), historian, writer and polemicist, his books triggered a lot of criticism. Considered a provocative writer, who writes about debatable topics with no inhibitions.
