R. Avraham David Lavut (1815-1890; forefather of the Lubavitcher Rebbe), rabbi of Nikolayev and a prominent Chabad rabbi. He was a close disciple of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch and his son, the Rebbe Maharash.
