Head Ornament Inlaid with Turquoises and Corals – Uzbekistan
Head ornament. Uzbekistan, [late 19th century].
Silver (parcel gilt); gilt sheet silver, punched; gemstones; glass.
Hexagonal head ornament, inlaid with gemstones and glass beads. Suspended from two of its edges are chains with pendants, set or inlaid with coral beads and turquoise stones (originally, such chains were suspended from all edges of the ornament).
Approx. 21X12 cm. Fair-good condition. Missing chains and stones. Blemishes.
